Discovery Hostel Rio de Janeiro

I had an amazing stay at this hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from Gloria metro station, which made it easy for me to explore the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa. The hostel also offered great facilities, including a private en suite for the girls-only dorm and a delicious free breakfast. Additionally, they organized their own tours and activities, which were led by a funny and friendly tour guide.

The hostel has a great location, being super close to the metro station and within walking distance of the center. Its proximity to the social areas makes it convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are nice and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, lights, sockets, and little shelves. The bathrooms, although unisex, could be cleaner and the common area could be more comfortable. However, the hostel offers a plentiful and varied breakfast buffet and has a communal kitchen for guests to use. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing great service.

Great location, close to the metro and easily accessible. Very helpful and friendly staff who spoke good English. the breakfast buffet was amazing, with a variety of delicious options to choose from.

The check, in process was disorganized and frustrating, as they gave my pre, booked room to someone else with the same last name and I had to wait until late at night to check, in. the AC in my private room didn't work during a hot summer in the city, and despite promises to fix it the next day, they couldn't get a technician to come and resolve the issue.

Cozy, spacious, social atmosphere, great mattresses, friendly and helpful staff, multiple language speakers.

Not one thing.

This hotel is located in a safe and cool district, with everything you need just a short walk away, including the metro station. The staff here are super helpful and always ready to solve your needs. The dorm rooms are equipped with triple bunk beds, which might be interesting for some, and I must say that the bed I stayed in was fabulously comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast served here is delicious and a great way to start the day.

No major issues, everything was just fine.

The common areas encourage interaction, and the breakfast includes fresh-made cake and juice. The staff, especially Igor, are friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable, and it's easy to meet new people. The hostel offers various activities, and the location allows for a real local experience.
